How to Become a High School Equivalency Testing Center
The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) has authorized 鶹AV to contract with GED Testing Service to provide the GED test for individuals to earn the Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE). Tests may only be administered by TEA-authorized testing centers under Texas Administrative Code Official Testing Centers.
NOTE: Educational Testing Service (ETS) notified TEA and the SBOE that they would not administer the HiSET test in Texas after 8/31/2021. The last day to take a HiSET test in Texas was 8/31/2021.
To request approval to administer GED exams in your testing center, please complete the . Upon approval, your information will be provided to Pearson VUE/GED Testing Service to assist them in initiating the contracting process with your test center.
